Gripping poem which explores the effect that bad childhood experiences have on us as adults. A sharp critic of how men treat women and how this treatment teaches women to be cold towards men too.
What about you guys, did you like this poem? disliked it? Loved it? Hated it?
Do you agree with me about what the poem is about? What do you guys think Autumn is trying to say?
Any thoughts on this poem in general?
Love to hear what you guys think!
Best wishes, Maaretta.
It is very interesting for me to read that blog. Thanks for it. I like such topics and everything connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon. BTW, pretty nice design you have here, but how about changing it every few months?

I’m glad you like reading my blog and liking my topics! I hope you do read more topics from my blog!
I guess I could change the settings. I do try to change some of the pictures once in a while. I kinda like my settings though, but I do agree that having the same pictures continually is a bit dull. I’ll think about what you said!

In searching for sites related to web hosting and specifically comparison hosting linux plan web,
your site came up.
You are a very smart person!
Wed hosting and linux plan web? Huh. Funny I come up.
Don’t quite have your take on this one.
Autumn seems to be talking about being young and innocent, and being pursued by another young and innocent boy. It makes her reject him, hurting him, and then boomeranging back on her and making her feel bad to have hurt him. In later life she sees the lessons in how to hurt those who are over-pushy toward her sexually , move in the “dark” in her feelings to protect herself emotionally, and to enjoy the more “casual” associations vs. the exhausting “deep ”one to have dominate control in a (pseudo) relationship.
Not all of the cruelty to the little “her” and to the little boy makes her a better person, however, and she sees the bad behaviors to others and herself, which manifested themselves in this embryonic connection, she continues to this day in her relationships.
At the last, and the most important point, Autumn is blaming the parents, both hers and his, for not educating, informing, and speaking to the “little boy” (and girl, herself) how to move kindly and compassionately. We all will make mistakes in relationships, but the young should be given humane guidance through their budding relationships to indicate the appropriate ethical ground to their behaviors.
Autumn longs to re-meet the little boy to give a more thoughtful Goodbye.
How can one not agree with all of this? A compassionate yearning to right an inadvertent harm and a call to parents and guardians to help with this by mere communication with the young.
Moving poem, well read, though the rapid cadence of her reading is a bit counter-productive at a few points.
Good analysis! And yes, Autumns reading of her poems are wonderful. I kind of like the rapid cadence; it gives her reading bit of a personal touch.
