The original “Alice”, and “through the looking glass” have a number of the greatest logic-twisting quotes in all of literature, of course. This Disney animation (1951 as you note in the margin) has a number of original quotes as well. This Version of the Alice canon by Disney, though it varies quite drastically from the text of the book, I think is vastly under-rated.
You (and others here) seem to agree. Or do you think its too cleaned up? Even with the “off with her head” and the “attack of the Cards” at the end?
And on of my favorites, and one Lewis Carroll would appreciate I think in its mathematical and logical conundrum, is:
Mad Hatter: Would you like a little more tea?
Alice: Well, I haven’t had any yet, so I can’t very well take more.
March Hare: Ah, you mean you can’t very well take less.
Mad Hatter: Yes. You can always take more than nothing

What was that quote from “Wizard of Oz” (the movie) where the Scarecrow says something along the lines of people without Brains talking very much?
Looking for the quote, but can’t seem to find it. It happens during his first meeting with Dorothy. If that helps.

The quote you’re referring to went like this:
Scarecrow: I haven’t got a brain… only straw.
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven’t got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don’t know… But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking… don’t they?

Thanks for finding it and responding with it so quickly. The quote from the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz seemed to be a pair with the March Hare comment in Disney’s Alice and now I can see it was. The delivery of the line however makes quite an impact, I remembered (hesitates “oh so slightly” and then answers. As repayment to your kindness of finding it here it is in the full clip of Dorothy and the Scarecrows first meeting. Brilliant!

I’m not sure, but I think I like the quote from “Alice in Wonderland better”. But both “Alice” and “Wizard of Oz” are amazing films. The animation in “Alice” is just great!
